    In retail franchising, franchisors not only specify the products and services that will be offered by the franchisees, but also provide them with an operating system, brand and support. In other words, franchising is a way for a business / franchisor to expand and distribute its goods and services by building a licensed relationship with another person or business (the franchisee). In a typical franchise relationship, the franchisor provides the franchisee with not only a trade name, products and services but also a complete system for running the business.
